The Journey in Faith, which includes the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is our way of welcoming people, who are thinking about becoming Christians, into the Church through baptism. If you are already a Christian, and are thinking about becoming a Catholic, then the Journey in Faith is for you too.
We meet inquirers throughout the year but regular meetings begin during September and run through to Pentecost the following year. During the Easter Vigil those who are not yet Christians are baptised and confirmed before receiving Christ in the Eucharist. We also receive baptised people into full communion of the Church at Easter and at other times of the year.
We welcome all who are interested in exploring and journeying with us: We cover the principle teachings of the Catholic Faith and explore the moral, social and day to day experience of living as Catholic Christians in a worshipping community.
The Journey in Faith is facilitated by a co-ordinator and the parish clergy who support and enable individuals to discern their individual journey of faith.
We meet every Wednesday evening between September and May/June from 7.00pm - 9.00pm in the James Room in Cathedral House.
If you are an adult Catholic who has not been confirmed or received Holy Communion then we can support you too.
For further information please telephone the Cathedral House Office on 0117 9738411.
